Mersin Integrated Health Campus designed by NKY was the first PPP (public private partnership) hospital to be opened by the Ministry of Health in Turkey. The design began in 2013 and now in November 2016 NKY are bringing their services which included; master planning, architectural design, interior design, engineering services and medical planning to a close. The development consists of 1,250 beds and covers an area of 370,000m² and it will be expected to treat 10,000 patients per day on completion.
The Minister of Health Mr. Recep Akdag recently visited the new Health Campus stating it was designed to perfection, he quoted “I am giving 9 points out of 10 to this hospital now. It will be up to operations to reach a perfect score”. The comment from the minister, who is very meticulous with regards to design and construction was well received by the NKY team after 3 years of hard work and focus.
