The goal of this design was to become a new starting point for the regeneration of Kastamonu city. The core identity of the campus is the main square and educational facilities run from here to the north via a main aisle. Social and cultural facilities are sited including; performing arts, science, library, dormitories, indoor & outdoor sports areas, observation and conference centre’s. Transportation routes were designed for bicycles, pedestrians and vehicles with parking facilities at the entrance. Integrated into the design is green building practices including a pond which is used as a water supply and sustainable energy systems which maximise the renewable energy generated.
