Mittaphab Hospital in the capital city of Vientiane is one of four central hospitals in Lao PDR with +300 beds serving 100.000 patients a day. Originally built in the early 1980’s, the hospital has been expanding constantly to keep up with the high demand. Consequently, United Nations has received funding to develop a more strategic approach to the extensive renovation/rehabilitation of the hospital.

Along this line; NKY has been commissioned by UNOPS as part of its Long Term Agreement for providing Technical Assistance services in Asia, to prepare the Feasibility Study for the renovation of the Mittaphab Hospital. Based on the recommendations of NKY in terms of construction, medical equipment and cost analysis, the hospital will be upgraded.
