Project Information
“Designing the void.”
The project is conceived as a new urban focal point that goes beyond the function of a 250-
bed hotel, aiming to establish a renewed public relationship between the coastline and the
city. By integrating suites, restaurants, cafés, meeting spaces, business units, yacht club
fitness facilities, a Turkish bath, and a swimming pool, the building forms a multi-layered
social platform that remains active throughout the entire day.
The core design idea is defined by a large public void generated within an architectural form
inspired by an monumental arch. This void invites pedestrian movement along the coastline
into the building, creating a strong interaction between the sea, the city, and its users. Rather
than interrupting coastal continuity, the project acts as a permeable urban threshold that
enhances it.
Shaped by contemporary architectural language through the use of glass, steel, concrete, and
composite materials, the design is grounded in notions of openness, lightness, and
transparency. The project is conceived not merely as a hospitality structure, but as a symbolic
urban gateway that redefines the coastal skyline and reinforces public life.
