The project is being implemented as a joint public and private investment in Republic of Dagestan, located in the city of Derbent, which occupies an important place in history of the region and stands out as an important center in terms of maritime tourism due to its historical and cultural tourism potential, as well as untouched bays of the Caspian Sea. The Ripple (Wave) concept frames the ideas and intended effects of the Derbent Hotel Project on three scales, reflected in design solutions at the city, district and building levels. Influenced by the endless changing waves of the Caspian Sea, the concept of the Ripple aims to connect the project area with the city of Derbent, reflecting its positive patterns in the designed spaces, initiating transformations and serving as a continuity of coastal promenade. On the architectural aspects, the Ripple concept manifests itself in the form of fluid architectural elements, overlapping and intertwining at different levels, reflecting the influence of the waves of the Caspian Sea. The resort hotel complex is designed on 3 plots with a total area of 42,000 m² in the Kos area of the city Derbent and takes the form of a peninsula, with an area 25,000 m². The hotel is designed to serve approximately 550 people during peak season. The total number of rooms is 186: of which 120 are standard, 48 Superior rooms, 15 Suite rooms, 2 Royal King Suites and 1 Presidential Suite with many amenities including cafe, lobby, restaurant with panaromic sea view terraces, multifunctional hall for many events, children’s club, SPA and fitness center and finally 360 view roof top ala-carte restaurant and bar. The project has a landscape area of 39,000 m² and includes many outdoor amenities for outdoor leisure activities such outdoor swimming pool, as well as a beach of approximately 7,000 m². A coastline with sandy beaches in some places and characteristic rocky beaches in others. The plots, aims to increase value for the region through events, aimed at expanding the possibilities of using the coast and sea by residents city, as well as increasing its attractiveness through the development of social infrastructure. It is planned to undergo examination during the current year, commissioning scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
