The project area is located in a high location at foothills of Uludag mountain in the Kestel district of Bursa. The land with sloping and difficult topography is in a position to overlook the entire Bursa landscape. Alley forms the backbone of the project that is located at the upper level which is the most suitable point of topography for the construction. The Alley starting with the main campus entrance, continues with academic center, faculties and laboratories. The part extending to the south of the topography is reserved for student dormitories and sports areas. Alternative and dynamic space organization on the alley with the spatial faculty niches formed by diogonal mass settlement is the main aim of the design. The suitability of the master plan to the staging, the manageable initial investment and operating costs are arguments necessitated by the design. The ring road was planned around the campus due to pedestrian priority transportation strategy and campus was left for pedestrian and bicycle transportation. BTU Kestel campus with sustainable and secure campus strategy as well as with compact and innovative spatial relationships, offers a contemporary academic campus alternative.
