This new city designed for development in Baghdad included high-rise buildings and a mosque which formed the town centre with a park surrounding the city; enhancing the new social living spaces and creating new communities. The main access routes into the centre divide the city into 6 main zones all with various facilities including hospitals, educational institutes, retail units, transportation systems, government, public and residential buildings.
